Executive Questions

The Dance of Change included an article written by several chief executives: Phil Carrol, former CEO of Shell Oil; Don Lindemann, CEO of Citizens Gas & Coke Utility; Travis Burch, CEO of Burch-Lowe, Inc.; John Lobbia of Detroit Edison; and Dr. Roger Gilbertson, CEO of Merit Health Care System. Each of them had been deeply involved in designing and leading change initiatives, and we asked them to imagine what they would say to other executive leaders who are about to begin a large-scale learning initiative. What questions should executive leaders ask themselves before they get started?

If you are an executive leader who has gone through a change process and would like to suggest questions you think should be asked ahead of time, let us know. What questions did you ask yourself — or do you wish you had asked yourself? How did you answer those questions at the time, and how would you answer them now? Email us, and we'll begin posting them here.
