Porto in Brazil: My company (machine industry in Brazil) is "going global"
through some acquisitions. As corporate quality professionals, my peers
and I are analysing the "best" ways to transfer management technologies
to the subsidiaries abroad. As we truly believe in the power of Systems
Thinking, we are wondering how can we benefit from the application of some
Systems Thinking tools (e.g., modeling with causal loops diagrams) in order
to truly go global (move from current HQ's management models to worldwide
common practices)Êwhile, at the same time,Êrespecting the differences that
exist between HQ's and sub's and the fact that they also have their unique
history and culture? |

| I am looking for several individuals to develop
and participate in a study and support group based on the principles of
the Fifth Discipline. I am the owner/director of a large multidisciplinary
private mental health group practice composed of thirty-four clinicians
including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and social workers. I am
interested in cultivating an organizational learning environment that promotes
generative leadership and participative management. My background experiences
include training as a mental health clinician and group psychotherapist
with a systems orientation. I have no formal training in business and have
developed a successful million dollar practice primarily on intuition and
interpersonal sensitivities. I am isolated and interested in talking with
